F# Indian Scale Fretboard Guide
Look at the notes F#, G, B, C# and D, and you have the F# Indian scale. G sits a half step above the root, and D a half step above C#.
Put the root on the 2nd fret of the low E string or the 9th fret of the A string. All five notes fit in D major, so a familiar key helps you find them. To meet the rest of the group, visit scales from the exotic family.

Structure
F# indian scale notes:
How the indian scale is built:
The indian scale is built from the degrees 1 b2 4 5 b6, which gives the step pattern H-WW-W-H-WW (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 1, 5, 7, 8. That makes it a 5-note scale.
