C# Double Harmonic Major: Notes and Shapes
C#, D, E#, F#, G#, A and B# are the notes of the C# Bizantine scale. E# and B# are the only unusual names, and they are played where F and C are.
Find the root on the 9th fret of the low E string or the 4th fret of the A string. The scale is built from two identical four-note halves, so once you know the first half you know the second.

Structure
C# bizantine scale notes:
How the bizantine scale is built:
The bizantine scale is built from the degrees 1 b2 3 4 5 b6 7, which gives the step pattern H-W+H-H-W-H-W+H-H (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11. That makes it a 7-note scale.
It is also known as Double Harmonic Major, Hijaz Kar and Byzantine.
