E Lydian #2: Raised Second on the Open Strings
E, F##, G#, A#, B, C# and D# are the notes of the E Lydian #2 scale. The F## is the raised second, a double sharp that you play as G, and it makes a minor third with the root.
The open E strings and the open B string belong to it, which gives you a stable tonic and fifth to listen against. Its notes are G# harmonic minor starting from the sixth degree. For help choosing where to use it, see which scale fits which chord.

Structure
E lydian #2 scale notes:
How the lydian #2 scale is built:
The lydian #2 scale is built from the degrees 1 #2 3 #4 5 6 7, which gives the step pattern W+H-H-W-H-W-W-H (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11. That makes it a 7-note scale.
It is mode 6 of the Harmonic Minor Scale, so both scales share the same notes from a different starting point.
