Eb Lydian #2, Shape by Shape
The Eb Lydian #2 scale reads Eb, F#, G, A, Bb, C and D. F# is the raised second, an augmented second above the root, and it joins the G only a half step higher. Every note keeps a simple spelling.
Start with the root on the 11th fret of the low E string or the 6th fret of the A string. The notes belong to G harmonic minor. A good way to hear the scale in motion is a three notes per string exercise.

Structure
Eb lydian #2 scale notes:
How the lydian #2 scale is built:
The lydian #2 scale is built from the degrees 1 #2 3 #4 5 6 7, which gives the step pattern W+H-H-W-H-W-W-H (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11. That makes it a 7-note scale.
It is mode 6 of the Harmonic Minor Scale, so both scales share the same notes from a different starting point.
