Getting Started with G Lydian #2
G, A#, B, C#, D, E and F# are the notes of the G Lydian #2 scale. A# is the raised second, which stands just below the B, while C# is the raised fourth that defines every Lydian sound.
The open G, D, E and B strings all fit the scale, so a few notes can ring freely. B harmonic minor shares the pitches from its sixth degree. For another view on pairing a scale with a chord, read mixing major and minor modes.

Structure
G lydian #2 scale notes:
How the lydian #2 scale is built:
The lydian #2 scale is built from the degrees 1 #2 3 #4 5 6 7, which gives the step pattern W+H-H-W-H-W-W-H (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11. That makes it a 7-note scale.
It is mode 6 of the Harmonic Minor Scale, so both scales share the same notes from a different starting point.
