F Lydian #2, Low on the Neck
F, G#, A, B, C, D and E make up the F Lydian #2 scale. The G# is the raised second, and the B is the raised fourth. Together they give a major sound with an unexpected twist.
The root is on the 1st fret of the low E string, so the lowest box is right beside the nut. These are exactly the notes of A harmonic minor, which means you can borrow its fingering and start from the sixth degree. When it feels natural, practising scales in context shows how to use it.

Structure
F lydian #2 scale notes:
How the lydian #2 scale is built:
The lydian #2 scale is built from the degrees 1 #2 3 #4 5 6 7, which gives the step pattern W+H-H-W-H-W-W-H (W = whole step, H = half step).
Counting in semitones from the root: 0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11. That makes it a 7-note scale.
It is mode 6 of the Harmonic Minor Scale, so both scales share the same notes from a different starting point.
